Michael Lax

Chief Executive Officer

Michael’s 35 years of manufacturing experience at Clear-Vu’s parent company, API, have centered on creative ideation, concept development and managing executions of new products with a focus on design, mold construction, manufacturing and assembly of industrial and precision components such as office products, life safety products, and entertainment packaging. Taking the company in a new direction, Michael founded Clear-Vu Lighting in 2009 to further specialize in the LED lighting sector. Over the past two and a half years, Clear-Vu has become a nationally recognized and respected leader in the transit and construction industries.

Michael has been awarded numerous patents in product design. In addition, his work and collaborations have received numerous design awards including a Gold Industrial Design Excellence Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America. Michael has previously worked for Kodak as a Process and Product Development Engineer and graduated from the University of Rochester with degrees in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering.


Tim Keuning

Vice President of Operations

Tim has over 17 years of experience in the lighting industry. He has overseen the development of dozens of products for many of the larger U.S. based lighting companies, focusing mainly on LED and Emergency Lighting product lines. He specializes in mechanical design and system integration and is a named inventor on 5 U.S. Patents. Tim holds a BS is Chemical Engineering from Polytechnic University.


Daniel Lax

Vice President of Business Development

Daniel leads the sales and marketing team with a special focus on transit agencies, municipalities, and construction companies. Daniel has previously worked as an Intellectual Property Associate at a large New York law firm, where he specialized in the prosecution of patent applications, drafting of license agreements, and litigation. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.


Roy Jacob

Project Manager and Electrical Engineer

Roy is an Electrical Engineer/Project Manager who specializes in solid state lighting design, RF circuitry, and control systems. Prior to Clear-Vu Lighting, Roy worked at North Atlantic Industries as an Electrical Engineer developing VME/VXI control cards for military aircraft such as the Predator drone and the A-10 Warthog. Roy holds both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Certificate in Electronic Device Design from the University of Pittsburgh.
