Warranty Overview
Clear-Vu Lighting backs every standard LED fixture with a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period begins on the date of shipment from our Central Islip, NY facility. Extended warranty options are available on most product lines.
Warranty Terms
What's Covered
- LED light engines, drivers, and internal wiring
- Optical components (lenses, refractors, reflectors)
- Housings, gaskets, and structural hardware
- Integrated controls (Occu-Smart sensors, clearNET network nodes)
- Field-replaceable accessories supplied with the original shipment
What's Not Covered
- Damage from improper installation or wiring outside the rated voltage envelope
- Vandalism, abuse, fire, flood, or other acts beyond reasonable use
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect functional performance
- Third-party drivers or sensors substituted in the field without written approval
- Labor, freight, or consequential losses (covered only under extended warranty)
The 15% Threshold Rule
If more than 15% of fixtures from a single shipment exhibit the same failure mode within the warranty period, Clear-Vu Lighting will treat the failure as a batch defect — replacing the entire affected lot rather than processing individual claims. This protects specifiers from having to file dozens of separate RGAs against a known production run.
RGA Process
Return Goods Authorization (RGA) numbers are required for all warranty returns. Field replacement parts can be shipped before the failed fixture is returned for cases where downtime is critical.
Email service@clearvulighting.com with project name, fixture model, and failure description.
Our team issues an RGA number within one business day and supplies a prepaid return label for fixtures inside warranty.
Ship the failed unit with the RGA on the box. We can pre-ship a replacement for production-critical sites.
We perform root-cause analysis and share the report with the specifier and contractor, plus any 15%-rule batch action if applicable.
Extended Warranty Options
Extended warranty terms up to 10 years are available on most product lines for projects with bond requirements, federal infrastructure funding, or institutional procurement standards.
